What are we living for?

Sometimes I wonder about the things we do in life, like what are we doing? We take tests, go to school, go to college, do our homework, go to work, earn money, buy things, make friends, but what is this all for? In the end we all just... die...? I'm just so confused by this revelation. It's strange because I am a high school student and all I can think about is how I study and take tests and Take AP classes and get ready for the SAT and ACT for nothing. What is taking these tests going to do for me later? We try so hard for nothing? It's tough because that's what it feels like to me. Everything we do, everything we live for... just seems so pointless that it's confusing me.
