Lawyers?

I just don't understand lawyers? Nothing against them, nothing at all. However, how do they live with themselves knowing that they may be fighting for the wrong cause? I don't understand how a lawyer would be able to live with the fact that he or she may have fought for the wrong person or sent the wrong person to jail. It confuses me that someone would be willing to do something like that. Same with doctors, I get that doctors help us, heal us, save us, but how is anyone willing to be responsible for someone else's life. They are either extremely brave or have never thought about it that way.
